The best time to visit Marrakech is spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November). Perfect temperatures (20–30°C), abundant sunshine and little rain.
Spring is the ideal season to visit Marrakech. Temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C, the sun shines 9–11 hours per day, and rainfall is minimal. The Majorelle Garden and Menara Park are in full bloom. Perfect for the Agafay Desert, Atlas Mountains hikes and hot air balloon flights at sunrise.
Autumn is another excellent time to visit Marrakech. September is particularly pleasant with temperatures around 25–33°C. The summer heat fades gradually. October is ideal with 28°C max and very little rain. November sees the first autumn rains but daytime remains comfortable.
Winter in Marrakech is mild during the day (15–20°C) but cool at night (5–10°C). The High Atlas mountains are snow-capped, offering spectacular views. Rain is possible but sunny days are still frequent. Winter is ideal for cultural visits — souks, medina, museums — without the summer crowds.
Summer temperatures in Marrakech regularly exceed 38°C and can reach 45°C during Chergui wind episodes (hot Saharan wind). Despite the heat, summer has advantages: zero rain, long sunny evenings, beautiful sunsets at Agafay Desert, and stargazing nights. Plan activities early morning or after 6pm.
